About Us

Manda’s Ark was founded on the premise of giving animals the best care possible while in our hands. We take our time and give our undivided attention to the pets in our care. We pride ourselves on making sure our human clients are kept updated on their pets’ care and are always comfortable knowing their pets are getting cared for just as they would be if they were home.

About Manda:

Manda grew up on a farm in the Central Valley of California. Animals give her comfort and even as a child she knew whatever her future profession would be, it would involve animals. She graduated with a degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. While going to college she started a pet sitting business, which set the foundation for what Manda’s Ark would become in the future.

After college, she moved to San Francisco to be close to her Giants baseball team, the obsession is REAL. Once in SF she started walking dogs, pet sitting and boarding for an established company, after a few years of working for someone else, she decided it was time to start her own business where she could control the level of care given and her full attention to the animals in her care.

About Cory:

Cory grew up in the Bay Area and has a 8-5 job in the technological field. Once he is home, all of the dogs flock to him and he is quote “every dogs favorite”. We all know this isn’t true… but we let him think so! Cory is always there to give extra love and pets in the evenings and weekends.

Our Kids

Daphne and Wicket are the welcoming committee when dogs come to us for boarding. Daphne is in charge of making sure everyone knows the ropes and rules of the house and Wicket makes sure everyone has a good time during their stay!

Daphne

Daphne is 15 years old and was rescued from a bad home situation at the age of 4, she has been with Manda since college, where she would accompany her to classes, she thinks she should have earned a degree also!

Wicket

Wicket is 2 years old and was a spur of the moment addition that was the best thing that has happened to Manda and Cory since they met each other! He is a momma’s boy and is always by her side, unless of course he is playing with his buddies or making sure the backyard is vermin free!
